During just one year of war, Russia carried out more than 700 attacks on medical facilities in Ukraine, 218 hospitals were destroyed, and more than 400 medical facilities were damaged and stopped functioning normally. The greatest destructions occurred in the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv regions. The mass displacement of people from Donbass led to an increase in infectious diseases, various infections, and a surge of cardiovascular diseases.

Ukrainian Center For Medical And Social Coordination was founded in Ukraine as a non-government social initiative to help Ukrainian civilians. Along with another charitable organization Deutschland fur die Ukraine e.V. Ukrainian Center supports and coordinates Ukrainian healthcare facilities in performing special medical programs, which are funded by donations:

  • Tuberculosis screening program
  • Physical rehabilitation program for civilians injured by military actions
  • Introduction of a system of physical and social adaptation for individuals who have lost limbs, as well as for war veterans
  • Program for burn treatments for civilians injured by military actions

Ukrainian Center For Medical And Social Coordination  are permanently monitoring the state of implementation of the approved medical and social projects, use of charitable funds, and the results achieved.
